In the best of my recollection, this piece appeared in our secondary school textbook. You guys may have recited it numerous times and understood it pretty well. Let's try to translate it, in your own ways.

乡愁 -- 余光中

小时候
乡愁是一枚小小的邮票
我在这头
母亲在那头

长大後
乡愁是一张窄窄的船票
我在这头
新娘在那头

後来啊
乡愁是一方矮矮的坟墓
我在外头
母亲在里头

而现在
乡愁是一湾浅浅的海峡
我在这头
大陆在那头

My apology, I was away for vacation in the past 3 weeks and forgot to put a proper closure to this thread. All the 100 points thus went in vain. I beg your pardon for my negligence and hopefully I can make it up in my coming threads.

乡愁 -- 余光中                      Nostalgia

小时候                                        When I was young,
乡愁是一枚小小的邮票                Nostalgia was a small stamp,
我在这头                                     Here was I ,
母亲在那头                                  There was my mum.

长大後                                        When I was grown,
乡愁是一张窄窄的船票                Nostalgia was a narrow streamer ticket,
我在这头                                     Here was I ,
新娘在那头                                  There was my bride.

後来啊                                        Afterwards,
乡愁是一方矮矮的坟墓                Nostalgia was  a chunky tomb,
我在外头                                     The ouside was I,
母亲在里头                                  The Inside was mum.

而现在                                        At present,
乡愁是一湾浅浅的海峡                Nostalgia is the shallow strait,
我在这头                                     Here am I,
大陆在那头                                  There is mainland.

I like this poem very much.

Sorry, I think I made a mistake, grown is an adjective only used before noun.
