One Killed in Toppled Apartment Building in Shanghai |
The worker trapped in the toppled apartment building in Shanghai was pulled out dead, said rescuers on Saturday.
星期六，救援人员说在上海倒塌公寓救出一个被困工人的尸体。
The man, surnamed Xiao, was 28 years old from the eastern Anhui province. He had gone into the building to fetch his tools before trying to jump out of the window when the accident happened, according to rescuers.
据救援人员说。该工人姓萧，一个来自安徽省东部的28岁的小伙。他去楼房里取他的工具，当事故发生时，他试图跳窗户逃生。
The accident happened at about 6 a.m. Saturday, when a 13-storey building in the "lotus riverside" neighborhood of Minhang district which was under construction, fell down entirely.
周六早上6点事故发生时，闵行区“莲花河畔景苑”周围的居民在房屋里感觉到强烈震荡（像地震一样）。
Cause of the accident is under investigation.
事故原因正在调查中。
