Hello, I’m David Pogue, now it’s a technology colonist,I must say, I’m blissfully free of a kind of heated contentious controversy that dogs with other colonists, those who write about, say, politics or religion, or Ashley Simpson. But this week, I’m afraid I really stepped in it. I reviewed these.
What? Cell phones for kids? Get on the outside plane. Go away!
Not only developed, I think it’s a great idea, I mean, I would buy stocking it.
Cell phones for birds? For 6-year-olds?
When they get lost at the mall, or lately beeping them up, how do I get one?
When I grew up, we didn’t have any technology at all, look out, I treat that OK, goodbye.
Now I should explain that these are not ordinary cell phones, they don’t do pictures, tax messaging, voice mail or e-mail, they don’t get on the internet. In fact, they can’t even dial out, except some pre-programmed numbers that you’ve input.
For example, the fire-fly has buttons for mom, dad, and a phone-book button that lists up to 20 other authorized numbers. R meagle phone can dial on maximum of 5 numbers, but it does have the best sound and construction quality just as a speaker phone and a vibrate phone. And then there is the tick-tock. It’s built really cheaply and is supposed to talk into like a speaker-phone. But it’s filled with educational games and you program it from a website which is a really great idea.
They are pretty cool looking. In fact, most of the 5to 10year-olds I showed them to are pretty enthusiastic.
Wow, this is awesome, can I please, pretty, please , have this pretty ///,please~
The phone was cool.
I should have known it , however, that the status conscious age group over about 11,or somewhat, less enthuasitc?
I would now be caught dead with phones like these in public.
Get me a real cell phone.
So this is the phone, they’re used only to call my parents, great.
The age when the Americans first get a cell phone has been dropping year after year. And thanks to cell phones like these, kindgaterners are now packing cell phone. And guess what? I don’t think that’s the end of it.
Daddy?
Yeah, hi, how are you? Hey , listen, I might be a little late this afternoon, why don’t you meet me in front and I’ll pick you up after~~
