大家好，这里是白丁屋之写作秀 writing show现场，本区负责人为sarah娟栀，第一期暂由猫璞代替发帖.

本期话题为：describe your hometown-描述你的家乡。猫璞特别摘录了一段《角斗士》中马克西莫斯关于家的描写，希望来自天南地北的词友们用英语描绘自己的家乡或家，也可以对以下这段话发表见解，大家自由发挥.

无论你来自何方，都要为自己的家乡添上一笔诗行。。。

以下是马克西莫斯的家乡描写：

Maximus: my house is in the hills above Tiupllo, a very simple place .pink stones that warm in the sun .a kitchen garden; it smells of herbs in the day, jas–mine in the evening .through the gate is a giant poplar(杨树). figs, apples, pears ,and soil mark as black, black as my wife’s hair .grapes on the south slopes ,olives on the north, wild ponies（小型马） playing in the house that teach my son, he always wants to be one of them.

马克西莫斯：我的家在西班牙特普罗德山上，是一个纯朴的地方，阳光暖暖的照着粉红色的石头，菜园里白天飘着草药香，大门口有颗高大的白杨树。有无花果、苹果和梨子，泥土是黑的，黑得像我妻子的头发。南坡上种着葡萄，北坡上种着橄榄。小野马在屋子周围逗着我儿子玩耍，他总是想和他们在一起。

我希望一个人去西部流浪。。。大漠黄沙，茶马飞歌，无心无伤，埋骨他乡。生无根，长无根，死亦无根。。看人看久了就看的到灵魂，看天看多久都看不到天堂，所以我决定了就看词霸吧，好歹还可以看到俊男美女。

My beloved hometown
I was born in Harbin , the city of snow. Though I’ve been away form there for more than ten years , whenever I’m asked ‘where is your hometown’, I will tell him ‘my beloved hometown is Harbin ’without any hesitation. I am so proud of Harbin, proud of her snow, proud of the Songhua River which flows through her heart. And of course I am also proud of the people living there. Have you ever had a friend who came form Harbin . If you have ,I’m sure it must be a wonderful time when you were with them. Because I know so well about people coming from Harbin, they are even cut out to be friends. They are kind, frank ,open and clear, and what’s more they are brave and loyal to friends.

For I was born in the Changpai mountain range which is situated in the Jilin pro, but I spent more time in Shandong pro,so I’ve two hometowns, but Relatively speaking I like Jilin better… it’s so beautiful especially those virgin forest in my home town, Far in the distance lay magnificent ranges of mountains covered with dense virgin forests. There’re many hunters living in the forest. My sister and I, our exploration to the primeval forest is quite a chapter of accident. There’re fungus \different wild flowers.

I was born in a small countryside named ChangLong. It's in ShanTou, Guangdong Province. I am afraid the place is not nice or clean. The rubbish is anywhere. However, it's my hometown, I want to change it to a new visage. I love it, it gave me a beautiful Childhood.

hello ,maomao.Introduction my hometown....

I' was born in NanChang,JiangXi.
Situated in the southern part of Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, Lushan Mountain is on the bank of Poyang Lake ,The mountain is a well-known scenic area, summer resort and sanitaria. There are imposing and magnificent peaks, unique waterfalls, and historical sites as well as a changing sea of clouds and a warm and comfortable climate.
I like Poyang Lake,there was many aquatic product..I favorest eat grill crab.

Let's see my hometown Handan which is a centries-old city in Hebei province.Though I work in Beijing now ,but I still like my hometown very much.
There are so many idioms come from here like"邯郸学步”“黄梁一梦” and so on,I don't know how to translate these idoms in English,may be some of you can give me the answer.
Also there are so many famous history stories like "围魏救赵”，“胡服骑射”etc.
