The Colors of the Beijing Olympics
China, the country that is chosen to host the 2008 Beijing Olympics ,is truly a colorful country in my eye.And today I’d like to talk about the colors of the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Orange is my favourite color which stands for vigor and enthusiasm in the mind of we Chinese.We’ve been involved in many activities on helping raise the common awaewness of hosting the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
As for me, I got up my courage to enter this writing competition.Actually,I’m a shy girl. I seldom raise my hands in classes.But,this time,when I surfing the Internet and saw there’s such a writing competition related to the Olympics.I signed up for it without any hesitation.Because I think it is a good chance to show one of the Olympic spirits: I participate, I contribute, and I enjoy.
Not only I ,but also many other people have made their own contributions to show our love and pride for the Beijing Olympics.
As we all know,overseas protests at the 2008 Beijing Olympic torch relay and the Western media’s biased coverage of China have inspired Chinese everywhere to express their patriotism.
Green is also a lively color which can show the environmental friendly to foreign visitors.
For example,in this year’s Tree Planting Day,our chairman Hu Jingtao as well as some others leaders planted trees by themselves.They encourage every citizen to live a “green” life.
That promotes the idea of “green Olympics”.
There goes the color blue.Last year I went to the Oriantal Green Oasis to have the military training.And there was an activity of searching treasure.
After I knew the rule ,winning is the only thing in my mind.I carried the map and compass,and ran quickly to search for treasure alone.During the search ,they told me to be slower,but I didn’t accept it. When the game was over,I let out cries of joy for we win the game.But my partners didn’t show any happiness at all.
Suddenly, a partner came to me and said”we don’t win, but you win ”Then ,another girl came to me .wearing a strange smile”you’re great . you run fast.why we never saw you run fast at school?”she added.
I remember so painfully at that moment when I heard these words.I knew I fail for I ignore the whole team.That is to say,I realized that united together is a very important element in winning a game. We live in the same blue sky,people from seven continents and five oceans are supposed to be united together to creat a harmonious Olympic!It is just like the Olympic five rings.They are connected tightly and never aparted.
Well,all these beautiful colors decorate the Olympics.And as the opening ceremony is drawing near, I really look forward to seeing the colorful and successful Olympics!
