与中国体操队的世界冠军李小双和李大双一样，美国体操队也有一对双胞胎兄弟——保罗·哈姆和摩根·哈姆，弟弟保罗·哈姆还曾为美国摘得世锦赛体操全能金牌。在2004年奥运会上，这对体操明星携手出征雅典，成为中国队夺金的最大威胁。弟弟保罗接受媒体采访时自信地说：“If we have a strong day in Athens, I see us ahead of China. I feel this is a special team, an amazing group of guys. We have the potential to win the Olympic gold medal, and if we just have a good day, we'll be on the medals podium.” 
Medals podium表示“领奖台”，而podium表示“墩座、讲台、乐队指挥台”的意思。据悉，保罗和摩根的父亲是全美潜水冠军，姐姐是大学生体操运动员。
