 全能的（All-round）
雅典当地时间8月19日22点30分左右，在2004年奥运会体操女子全能比赛中，美国选手卡莉·帕特森击败俄罗斯名将霍尔金娜，以总成绩38.387分获得女子体操全能金牌。中国选手张楠获得第三名。 外电中有这样的报道：
Carly Patterson upstaged Russian diva Svetlana Khorkina to become the first American in 20 years to win the women's Olympic gymnastics all-round gold medal on Thursday.
All-round的意思是“多才多艺的、全能的”。例如：an all-round athlete（全能运动员）。 它的名词形式是all-rounder，意思是“多面手，全能运动员”。例如：He is a good all-rounder who likes tennis, cricket, and swimming.（他是一名出色的全能运动员，喜欢网球、板球和游泳）。
