挺举（jerk）　

十运会女子举重比赛在苏州大学体育馆产生了58公斤级的金牌。雅典奥运会冠军、东道主选手陈艳青以抓举112.5公斤、挺举142.5公斤、总成绩255公斤的优异成绩夺魁，三个成绩不但全部打破了全国纪录，同时也超越了世界纪录。报道如下：

Chen Yanqin bettered the world records in the jerk and total of the women's 58kg category weightlifting at the 10th National Games Tuesday afternoon. Chen Yanqin, from Jiangsu province, jerked 142.5kg and totaled 255kg en route to winning the gold medal of the division.

　　报道中的jerk指的是举重比赛中的"挺举"，也可说成clean and jerk。jerk 作为动词用时，可表示"急拉，猛扯"，例如：She jerked the rope but it wouldn't move. (她拉了一下绳子，但它动也不动。) 此外，抓举的表达为snatch。
