ICIBA----My cozy home on line “爱词霸”――网上我温馨的家
It is commonly believed in China that English is an effective tool for personal development. However, just like drawing water with a sieve, most of English learners always feel disappointed after they fell into depression again and again.
在中国，人们普遍地相信英语对于个人发展来说至关重要。然而，大多数的英语初学者在陷入一次次的消沉之后，总会失望地觉得所有的努力就像竹篮子打水，一场空。
To be honest, I was one of them, indeed! I felt ashamed in many occasions. I can only murmur to other people that My English is poor… What’s worse, this feeling of frustration was rooted deeply in my heart. After a long period of time, I took it for granted that if we couldn't get what we want, we had to like what we could get.
我曾经便是这样的一名初学者，实在是这样。很多次在不同的场合，我总是感到羞涩。我只能喃喃地对大家说“我的英语很烂…”。更为糟糕的是，这种“受挫感”曾经那样根深蒂固地盘踞在我的心底。时间长了，我开始越来越听天由命地认为自己已经没法改变这种状态，只能随遇而安了。
Nevertheless, each day brings its own bread. I luckily met ICIBA on Sep. 5th, 2007. Just as an important gift expected in my life, I found my palpitation. For that whole day, I navigated in this beneficail community, and made many sincere friends. We communicated with each other, sent messages, and shared valuable experience every day in the following days. These funs made my daily life rich, and inspired me with studying passion again on English learning.
不过，天无绝人之路。2007年9月5日，我有幸接触到了“爱词霸”。就像生命中期盼已久的一份礼物，我感觉到自己的心悸。还记得那一整天，我徜徉于这个受益匪浅的家园，结识到很多真诚的朋友。在接下来的日子里，每天我们都相互沟通、留言，彼此分享快乐,交流心得体会。这些让我的日常生活变得丰富多彩，更再次激起了我学习英语的热情。
Every cloud has a silver lining! Looking up the blue sky, and breathing the fresh air, I finally understand that when our mind is still, all the answers to our problems will be revealed. I really regret my former flightiness and wasting so much time that I know ICIBA so late at the very moment. If I could feel this kind of beauty at that time, I think I would be sure to keep on searching it!
山穷水尽疑无路，柳暗花明又一村！仰望蓝蓝的天空，深吸清新的空气，我突然明白，只有当我们安静下来的时候，很多难题的解答才会出现。此刻，我真后悔过去的浮躁，恨自己为何蹉跎了这么久才了解“爱词霸”。如果我那时就能感受到这种美好，我怎么不搜寻到底！
Dear ICIBA, my cozy home, what should I say to you now? Maybe “better late than never”, I guess…Anyway, I would be continuing to improve my English with you and other friends. This is better for me than expressing thanks simply, I think... Am I right?
亲爱的“爱词霸”，我温馨的家啊，现在我该对你说些什么好呢？或许，迟到总比不见要好吧…好了，不管怎样，我会继续伴你一路，和“爱词霸”好友们一起不断地改进我们的英语。我想这比简单地表示感谢要好，对吗？

，在向楼主表示祝贺的同时，也有一些担心，因为他代表的将不仅仅是一个人， 而是整个论坛。。，恕我直言， 尽管英文翻译美句迭出， 但有些地方结构不太紧凑，（个人意见）， 所以作为词友， 我有责任提供一点参考意见，对错与否，我的出发点是好的。论坛内高手如云，我本不该放肆，但出于对词霸的热爱， 请恕我无理了。先从第一段开始，抛砖引玉。。。
