后值倾覆，四极废，九州裂，天不兼覆，地不周载，女娲乃教燧人练灵石以补苍天，教句芒断鳌足以立四极，教少昊杀黑龙以济冀州，教瑶姬积芦灰以止淫水，虽救黎民与水火，解苍生之倒悬，然大道倾颓，九黎乱德，神民杂糅，不可方物，时值颛顼，帝遂令重举天地，绝人神，使复旧常，无相侵渎，是谓绝地天通，大道始复。
Thereafter the regime was subverted, the four poles were destroyed; the heaven was exposed and the earth was in chaos. The Goddess of sky-patching exercised the miraculous stone to patch the sky, Jumang broke the foot of the turtle to support the four poles, Shaohao killed the black dragon to save the Jizhou, Yaoji collected the firewood dust to stop the flood. Though these save the people from the disasters, the general principle was threatened, the morals and ethnics were in disorder, the ordinary people mixed and everything was in confusion. When it was in Zhuanxu, the emperor asked the sky to be hoisted and interdict the gods. Then everything returned to moral and didn’t impinge each other, which was the sky and the earth were connected and the general principle regained.
