朝花惜拾

顾名思义，这是一束再放的花朵。它曾经淀开在大中学生的教材里，摇曳在中文老师的讲义上，灿烂在无数学子的诵读中。春光似水，十年过去，也许五年或十五年，甚而至于更多一些年头，昔日少年已是今天的白领阶层，抑或社会各个阶层各种角色的扮演者，对于曾经在课堂上读过的文章，至今余香在口，每能忆起，那同学少年，那花样季节，那响彻幽雅校园的琅琅之声，无一不令人心醉。于是有一天，我们这一套书的编者便作如是想，假使将那十年前读过的名篇重编一书，新加评注，让旧的读者以新的心境再读一遍，连同已逝的韶华一并温习，不亦乐乎？

说明一下，之所以选这篇是因为这篇有参考译文，大家翻译之后，我会把参考译文贴出来供大家从中参考学习。还有，我所贴出来的只是这篇文章的节选，开始的第一段，所以只是这篇文章的一个引子。这也是出于篇幅字数的考虑，因为以前有不少词友反馈说翻译篇幅过长。中译英的最终宗旨是提高大家的中英翻译水平，并不是提高大家的文学鉴赏能力。（当然能提高也是更好）

What the heck exactly how many year is it?
if we like so much speaking ancient language then why did we promote vernacular Chinese in the first place?

U know what ? Everything is a sort of double-edged sword.
I'd prefer to call it classic chinese rather than ancient Chinese.
The classic Chinese do have some demerits, yet it also have a number of merits, such as its briefness, conciseness, and elegance which are lost in the Vernacular Chinese .

Youth slips away like flowing water, ten , perhaps, five or fifteen years, passed by, even more years went away, teenagers in the past are now white collars or any other roles playing in different social stratum. For the articles they learned before still remained good smell. Every time they recall their youth, the flower age, the reading sounds rended around the ethereal campus, they are drunked in their memories.

于是有一天，我们这一套书的编者便作如是想，假使将那十年前读过的名篇重编一书，新加评注，让旧的读者以新的心境再读一遍，连同已逝的韶华一并温习，不亦乐乎？

Upon that, one day, our editor of this set of books though would it be a pleasure if we re-edited the articles we have learned ten years ago with new annotates to re-read and review in a new frame of mind?

翻译的时候发现，摇曳在中文老师的讲义上，摇曳这个词多念几遍后。。

The Dawn Flower Digested

As implied in the title, the text is a reblooming flower. It blossomed in the
text books, swayed in the lecture notes and flourished in the intellectuals'
recitation. How time flies, some of the former teenagers are now white
collars and the other play their roles in various walks. Whenever it is read
again, the charm lingers.Whenever it is recalled, the adolescent period
and nice year fascinate the soul and the fluent reciting preoccupies the mind. What if it is read with a renewed mood and what if it is reviewed in the
elapsed youth?
