Yes, it’s true that no one’s primary LSAT concern is the Writing Sample, and no LSAT instructor worth his salt would advise spending anywhere near the amount of prep time on this section as on the scored multiple-choice sections. Still, admission to law school remains incredibly competitive, and you need to make the most of every opportunity to set your candidacy apart. LSAC practice PrepTests contain sample essay prompts, so complete as many practice essays as necessary to make sure you’re comfortable with this section of the test. Then, when test day rolls around, the Writing Sample at the end won’t distract you from acing what comes before, and it might very well provide the icing on your application cake.
