Hint : The term “While” at the beginning of the sentence means “although” in this context, which suggests an oppositional relationship with the latter part of the sentence.

Correct Answer: D

Here's Why: Choice (D) is correct. If these terms were inserted into the sentence, the sentence would read “While the faculty curriculum redevelopment committee has drawn up detailed preliminary plans, full implementation of the newly devised curriculum program is expected to take three to four years.” In other words, even though the committee responsible for the new program has done much “preliminary,” or initial, planning, it will still take several years to fully implement, or put into practice, the program.
