There is only one month to the coming Olympic Games. are u ready to be a civilized amphitryon?
To be a civilized citizen, we should do good things and obey various social rules and principles anytime and anywhere. So when I see this topic, I felt a little upset. Whether are we ready to be civilized amphitryon or citizens just for holding Olimpic Games? Whether do we show our civilized side just for foreign people come to China? As far as I’m concerned, I think it’s absolutely not.
I often go on errands, so for short trip, I always visit other cities by train. I found that everytime I went to buy ticket, I could see some people who lacking concious cut in queue. They said that the train would come quite soon, so they had no time to queue up. I met a person whom I thought he was the worst man at waiting queue. A woman told him not to cut in line. But he didn’t felt shy and shouted to the woman. He said that it’s his own business. I felt sad to hear that. It’s wrong to jump the queue, what is more, he didn’t aware of his bad behavior and also said vulgar language. The low-level quality of people can be seen at the ticket office every day. We appeal to everyone in China to be a civilized amphitryon, but the fact is that it’s difficult to move those low-level quality people. What a pity! Thanks god, when he wanted to cut in line ahead me, his behavior had been seen by train conductor, so the conductor told him to wait his turn. He tried to persuaded the ticket lady that he just wanted to ask for price of ticket, but the monye was in his hand. The conductor turned to another side and said that don’t ask her, if he wanted to inquire price, he must go to the no. 10 window. Then it’s my turn to buy ticket. I smiled in my heart. To deal with this person, we must do so.
I think people who love motherland and pursue great life may pay attention to their behavior, especially during the Olympic time. These people may leave good impression to foreign friends. We can see the good order in Shanghai because of the great city culture. But I also believe that some people will leave bad impresion to foreigners. Such as those people who spit everywhere, littering, cut in line, speak rude words, etc.
Therefore, I like to watch public advertisements on CCTV. Some people may argue that everyone knows how to adhere to the law, but you know, it’s true that many people don’t know what is morality.
