Does Langping guidance USA female vollyball，that is quislism?
langping, now 48 years old, appeared civil, elegant, solemn and shed kind of unique light different from that of 2 decades ago when she was a dominant member of chinese women volleyball team. blended with oriental calmness and western passion, langping's beauty was beyond description. however, before you can say Jack Robinson, she had turn into a coach and more importantly, a coach not of china but united states.
besides, during the beijing olympic games, chinese women volleyball team coincidently was defeated by us which immediately caused resentment of many chinese people. they vented their anger to langping and blamed for her quislism. that is unfair, i'm afraid.
you see, the responsibility of a coach is just to lead the whole team to a right position, to help them solve their own defects and to give them inpiring strength to move forward. but, he or she is not capable of doing everything, or rather, deciding the result of the competition.it is the athletes that predominate the winning or losing. america's triumph mostly resulted from their athletes' full effort.
there's nothing to be scolded if a coach tries to guide the team of other countries since there are no national boundaries on the sports field. we have the right to hire the coach of other country and so do others.
38 foreign coaches from 16 different countries have been hired by Chinese Olympic teams, for sports such as saber fencing, hockey, cycling and equestrian teams. do you still remember the famous Netherlandish soccer coach Guus Hiddink? once he worked as the instructor of russian soccer team and won the European Cup against holland. you must known the chinese basketball coach-Jonas Kazlauskas and had deep impression on their quarter-final with the Republic of Lithuania. Jonas Kazlauskas happenly to be a Lithuanian.
as we all konw, "faster, higher, and stronger" is the spirit of the Olympics and this time the theme of beijing olympic games is "one world, one dream". all the people participating in the olympics belong to the same group cutting through the barriers of languages, religions, races and cultural diversity. we have only one dream-that is to improve ability of all the athletes about any items. as is often the case, whenever an athlete broke the world record, every one of us would applaud for them and cheer for their triumph with flowers from the bottom of our heart.
therefore, langping, as the coach of american women volleyball team now deserves our full respect rather than scorn. she herself, actually,has become the bridge over which the two nations can communicate with each other about volleyball or some more significant issues and make progress simultaneously.
please! please give more tolerance to langping~
she has dedicated herself to the cause of volleyball the whole life. there's no denying that she is the heroine of our nation and should be held up as the model of excellent chinese volleyball athlete forever.
