“Last”意味过去的某时间, 所以用“he’s”, 等于“he is” – Present Tense, 应该用“Past Tense” “was”更适当.

值得注意是一般“toward”是美式英文而“towards”是英式英文, 但交替用不太要紧.

若果你用Google Search:

1. “heading towards here”有255 hits;
2. “coming over here” 有625,000 hits
3. “heading this way” 有101,000 hits.

所以后两者比较普遍一点, 但前者文法和措辞上没有什么不妥.

考虑一下这么说会全面和普遍一点:

“He just called me from his car and told me he (was coming over here/was heading this way).”
