为什么不用：it must have rained
这里涉及到一个语法问题：
现在完成时与现在完成进行时的区别
现在完成进行时表示从过去某一时间开始一直延续到现在的动作。现在这个动作可能刚刚终止，也可能仍在进行。
现在完成进行时一般强调过去发生的动作现在仍在继续。
现在完成进行时表示刚刚结束的动作，强调动作在不久前持续进行，带有感情色彩。
现在完成时强调过去发生的动作现在已经完成或表示曾经发生过。
现在完成时表示已经结束的动作，强调动作的结果。
现在完成进行时没有被动语态 ．

He refreshed himself with a cold bath, then go back to work.
貌似这句，后面用 ，and went on working again. 会比较好点。。。
我同意你的看法．．我出题的失误．没有非常明确的语境
因为有多了一个back，我想go back to work 也是可以的，只是没有go on working 形象．　
again 我想就不用再加进去了
go on to do　做了一件事后，接着做另一件事。
go on doing　 继续做原来做的事。
