Your friend is your needs answered.
He is your field which you sow with love and reap with thanksgiving.
And he is your board and your fireside.
For you come to him with your hunger, and you seek him for peace.
你的朋友能满足你的需要，你的朋友是你的土地，
你在那里怀着爱而播种，含着感谢而收获，从中得到食粮、柴草：
因为你空腹投友，却从他那寻求温饱.
When your friend speaks his mind， you fear not the "nay" in your own mind,
nor do you withhold the "ay."
And when he is silent, your heart ceases not to listen to his heart;
For without words, in friendship,
all thoughts, all desires, all expectations are born and shared,
with joy that is unacclaimed.
倘若朋友向你畅谈思想，正确与否，请你务必坦率直讲。
假若你的朋友一声不吭，那么你要静听他的心声，
因为在友谊里无需言辞，思想和愿望会自生自长，
朋友们自待一道喜采成熟果实。
