献给天下母亲的一篇文章

今天是母亲节,心情格外舒畅.想起在家的日子,想起母亲给我的关怀,想起母亲日益苍老的面容,我总有一种莫名的伤感.一个弱小的女人,走过多少风雨,和父亲一起撑起整个家,曾经的沧桑与痛苦,又有多少人可以理解?是的,母亲是世界上最伟大的!趁此节日,特写此文,献给我的母亲以及天下间为了儿女倍舔白发的慈母!愿她们身体健康,万事顺利!

Today is mother’s day but I am not meant to phone my mum, cos we had chatted on phone for more than two hours yesterday. Unlike many other students, I never send a short message to my mum. She is a farmer who has little appetite for a cellphone. To her, life is ordinary and smooth as a peaceful lake. She scarcely knows any western festivals. Only the Chinese traditional ones are deeply rooted in her heart. So until now she has not the vaguest idea about mother’s day. So I can imagine if I say “happy mother’s day” to her, her face must display a flummoxed expression. She will ask me surprisingly, “what on earth is the mother’s day?” that is precisely my mum, a plain woman who never shows affection for any other festival apart from traditional ones.

So in the past we never observe mother’s day, even for once. But deep down in my heart, I love my mum affectionately and wholeheartedly. With myself aging, I sense growing love my mother melts into me. So much does she care for me that she is always praying for me day and night. Once she is unfettered from work, her mind will unconsciously sink into the miss of me and my younger brother, a set of prayers following. if we tell her we catch a cold or just feel a little malaise at school, her nerves will get tight immediately. she will spit out a series of minute【 微小的】questions as to when this symptom begins, what kind of pills you have taken, whether you have felt better, etc. afterwards, she will enjoin a thousand times that if we feel worse after some time, go to the doctor in no time. that is my dear mum, one among numerous caring and loving mothers all over the world.

My mum often tells us that the greatest happiness lies where all the folks in our family are safe and sound all the time. it is no matter whether we are affluent or not. Materially abundant life cannot assure you of a happy sense. If the whole family are healthy and harmonious, however indigent we are, we can overmaster all the straits and brambles with great felicity. I will cherish what my mum tells me in heart and follow her aspirations.

My friends, it is beyond anyone’s wildest dreams how much our mothers have sacrificed for us. All the people will possibly betray you, even your beloved ones in the future, but your mum will never be one of them. Even if someone guns at your mum and enforces her to say something bad about you that is a matter of life or death, she would die under the gun rather than divulge anything, though she might know that you are a brutal murderer. It is the instinct of all mothers to move mountain and earth in protecting their offspring. In the future, even if we exhaust all we possess for our kindly mum, we can not repay to them all they have dedicated to us!

hence at the end of my essay, I am somehow choked and want to say cordially to all the affectionate and loving mothers, “ happy mother’s day!”
