in general, cookie and cracker almost same thing, that's flat little cake. but there are some very subtle difference between two
first thing first, the surface meaning:
cracker=savory
cookie=sweet
1)a cracker is hard, full of air and goes soggy if you suck on it too long, there is NEVER enough flavor and ALWAYS crumbles under the slightest pressure...not to mention a wet cracker is NASTY.
2)a cookie you can do ALL KINDS of things to: you can split it in two to share with your mate or keep it all to yourself and you can lick ALL the creamy goodness and STILL doesn't get soggy no matter how long the lick...whether you use the whole tongue or just the tip, the cookie welcomes it and can handle it. you can dip it, dunk it, lick it, nibble it...doesn't matter. the cookie WANTS you to do it, BEGS you to do it.
a cookie can come in all sizes, shapes, colours and flavors.
another extended meaning:
1) A cookie is a token or small parcel of information stored on computers by websites; a cracker is a person who breaks into networks with harmful intent.
2) A cookie is a young, attractive woman; a cracker is a pejorative term for a poor white person with low intelligence and a racist attitude. |
