why don' t report use motionlessly?

"Motionless" here is used to describe the child. The action itself is neither "motionless" nor "motionlessly".

请高手再帮忙分析一下句子结构

Motionless  用来表示孩子躺在床上的状态

那motionless and lying在句子中是什么成分呢?如果 Motionless  用来表示孩子躺在床上的状态,那为什么不用副词呢?

现在分词lying 是句子a relative.......glimpsed  a  child  中宾语child 的补足语，lying 相当名词，由Motionless 来修饰。

visiting the family's trailer at the Deer Run mobile home park Saturday: 形容词性短语adjectival phrase, 形容主语"a relative"(若为名词性短语,则为同位语apposition phrase. 此处并非同位语)

形容词不用放在名词前面吗?

lie 是系动词，后面应该接形容词。

motionless是修饰 child的 修饰名称要用形容词，如果修饰 lying 的话就要用副词了因为lying 是动词

lying 是现在分词说明孩子的状态，而lie 是系动词，后面应该接形容词 motionless (而不是motionlessly）。

这类lie作为持续系动词 ，所有后面接adj

用来表示主语继续或保持一种状况或态度，相同用法的还有keep, rest, remain, stay, lie, stand.

I我查了字典,stand,lay,sit后面都跟motionless,为什么呢?

没错，这里lying是修饰child。
我的意思是，lying 的原形是lie， lie是系动词，应该接形容词。这里虽然变成lying了，但是仍然应该接形容词 motionless， 而不是接 motionlessly.

这些都是系动词（或在文中起系动词的作用），就像be， 后面应该接形容词。类似的还有一些，如：rest, stay, remain, mantain, exist, be, become, turn, get，等

       to stay warm...
