Mission and Guidelines for Iciba's  English-Chinese Translation Forum

Iciba.com provides English-Chinese Forum for exchanges about translation, word usage, terminology equivalency and other linguistic topics.

  1.     No duplication.

Do not duplicate your threads, any duplication will be removed without asking threader.

  2.    Be clear and provide context.

Be descriptive, specific, and succinct in your posts, to avoid ambiguities and misunderstandings.
Provide complete sentences and as much background information as possible.                           

Help Others to Help Yourself .

  3.      No homework.

These forums do not provide free schoolwork, translations. Longer texts are accepted in order to answer a specific grammar or vocabulary question.

  4.     No Advertising or promotional activity.

No promotional activity or commercial advertisement is permitted in the forum.
Anything of such kind will be deleted if found.

   5.     Be helpful and polite.

Be kindhearted with those having problems in English.
The use of "Hello", “Hi” and "Thank you" is always greatly appreciated.

Treat others in the way that you wish to be treated.

We welcome members who agree to act in accord with the rules and guidelines of the Forum.
