As chance will have it, I landed in Shanghai in 2003 and was hooked to witnessing the whirlwind development of the country called China.

Plan out your life wisely, not as chance will have it, but with prudence and foresight. Without amusements it is wearisome, like a long journey where there are no inns: manifold knowledge gives manifold leasure.
不要随遇而安,而要长远地,明智地规划自己的生活.没有娱乐的生活是可怕的,就象漫漫旅途中没有了歇脚的小酒馆,丰富的知识提供了多彩的生活.

The first day 's journey of noble life souhld be passed in conversing with the dead : we live to know the world and to know ourselves: hence true books make us true men.
美丽人生的新篇章从与死亡对话开始,我们活着是为了认识世界和了解自我,故只有真实的书才能培育出真实的我们.

明智的规划你的人生，要谨慎且深思熟虑，而不是随意的做决定。没有娱乐的人生是乏味的，就如同很长的旅途中没有旅馆，而种类繁多的知识可以带给我们各种各样的能量。人生旅程的第一步应该从与死亡对话开始。我们活着是为了了解这个世界以及我们自己。真知出智者。人生的第二步，我们应该学会如何生活。关注这个世界所有美好的事物，狭隘的目光是看不到所有美好的。天父是公平的，他给我们不同的天赋，有时最丑陋的人会得到最富有的财产。人生的第三步，是要完全的XX。最终的幸福属于智者。
noeself 是什么意思？no的反身代词？这个我不知道……
还有……we live to know the world and to know ourselves: hence true books make us true men. ……
hence是因此的意思吧，这前后是因果关系么？

人生的第二个阶段是与形形色色的人物生活在一起,观察及留意着世上所有美好事物. 不同的国家有不同的特色.

The Universal Father has divided his gifts, and at times has given the richest dower to the ugliest. The third day is entirely for noeself. The last felicity is to be a philosopher.
上苍公平地分配着礼物,有时会把最出色的天赋送给最丑陋的人.人生的第三个分阶段是属于自我的,最终的幸福是成为一个豁达的人的.

狗变异了

明智策划人生，就要处事谨慎，且深谋远虑，并非见机行事。正如长途旅行中没有栖身之所，缺乏娱乐委实令人觉得枯燥无味而厌倦：丰富的知识使生活变得多姿多彩。高尚人生之第一步，应是学会如何面对死亡而无所畏惧；活着旨在认识世界之同时了解自己；如此一来，真实的知识造就了真正的人类。（人生旅途之）第二步就要懂得如何去生活，如何去观察和发现世间美好之物。走遍天下以博取各地之精华。宇宙之父分赐予世人礼物，偶尔赋丑陋者以超人的天赋。第三步即要陶冶自我：泰然自若者最终蒙福。

红字 部分怎么翻译好？

毫无乐趣，将会令人厌烦，就像沿途没有酒馆的长途旅行：多样的知识衍生多样的雅兴（还是休闲好？）

第二阶段应关注生活中所见、所闻的世界上所有的美好事物。世事将不会是在单个的国家出现。天父将他给世人的礼物划分，并分次给予美好的及丑陋的做嫁妆。第三阶段完全培养个人。最终的幸福是成为一个哲人。
