2.识音标，记单词
vast 
adj.无数的，巨大的, 辽阔的a vast expanse of desert(一望无际的沙漠), 大量的, 巨额的a vast sum of funds(一大笔资金)。
cast 
n.投掷, 铸件, 脱落物, 一瞥, 演员表；v (cast, cast)投，抛cast a net (撒网), 投射, 浇铸, 计算, 派角色cast her as the lead(指定由她主演)；[习语] cast oneself on(依赖, 指望, 仰仗)，cast out(逐出, 驱逐，吐出, 呕出)。
fast 
adj.紧的, 牢的, 忠实的, 快速的a fast highway(高速公路), 深沉的in a fast sleep(睡得很熟)，耐久的，不褪色的; adv.牢固地, 很快地,彻底地;n.禁食, 绝食, 斋戒;vi.绝食, 斋戒；[习语] play fast and loose(反复无常，出尔反尔，靠不住)。
past

mast
